Connect Loopsii to Codex

Two commands. The desktop app and the IDE extension pick it up from the same config.

Add the server and sign in

Terminal
codex mcp add loopsii --url https://app.loopsii.com/api/mcp
codex mcp login loopsii

The second command opens the Loopsii consent screen in your browser. Check the account and press Allow; Codex stores the session for you.

By hand

The same thing in ~/.codex/config.toml:

~/.codex/config.toml
[mcp_servers.loopsii]
url = "https://app.loopsii.com/api/mcp"

Then run codex mcp login loopsii.

Desktop app and IDE extension

They share ~/.codex/config.toml with the CLI, so once Loopsii is added and signed in it appears everywhere on that machine. Codex cloud uses servers from the ChatGPT plugin directory instead; Loopsii is on its way there.

Try it

  • “Log 45 minutes on the Acme redesign: reviewed the pull request.”
  • “List my open tasks in the Sky project.”
  • “Summarise what the client asked for in Tuesday's call.”

The first meeting question needs one extra permission — Codex opens the consent screen once more, once.

Check and remove

Terminal
codex mcp list
codex mcp remove loopsii

To revoke Codex's access in Loopsii, open Settings → API → Connected apps and press Disconnect.
